CMDE Professional Development Workshop
R.A.D. - Reactive Attachment Disorder

CMDE will be offering a professional development workshop for artists, teachers and child care workers working with youth. This workshop will discuss the signs and symptoms of R.A.D. (Reactive Attachment Disorder) and will include discussion of personal boundaries, appropriate touch and other issues working with "youth at risk".

Workshop leader Alexis Marnel, is a professional dance educator and social worker, a founding member of the Artist's Collective for Social Change, and has extensive experience working with "youth at risk" through the arts.

CMDE Announces Partnership
with Gilda's Club

CMDE is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Gilda's Club in 2008-2009 to bring free dance classes and an informal performance to the participants of Gilda's Club Northern New Jersey.

CMDE Staff will be teaching classes for adults & seniors, adolescents and teens, children and even an intergenerational, multi-cultural family class.

Gilda's Club Northern New Jersey provides a place where men, women, and children with cancer, together with their families and friends, can join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care. Free of charge and non-profit, Gilda's Club offers support groups, lectures, workshops, and social events at their Club House located at 575 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.

CMDE encourages you to tell your friends about these special programs and opportunities for people affected by cancer and their families and friends.
Family Fiesta Potluck at Gilda's Club Northern New Jersey

Dance Expressions
Explore, play, and express yourself through movement. A gentle approach to creative dance. Suitable for adults of any age and ability level. Taught by Linda Mensch, Center for Modern Dance Education guest faculty, and Director of The Moving Company in Warwick NY. Class is held at Gilda's Club NNJ. 575 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601

Thursday, Nov. 20th & Dec. 11; 7:00 PM
Hip-Hop & Beyond for Kids & Teens
Learn new moves and how to put together your own dances! The focus is on fun! An energetic creative way to express yourself to music. Taught by Center for Modern Dance Education staff member Roger Turner. Class is held at Gilda's Club NNJ. 575 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601
