All classes are co-educational,and inclusive of individuals with disabilities, unless otherwise noted. Tuition remittance and work-study opportunities are available.You are invited to try out any class tuition-free before registering.

  • Private dance classes in any of the above styles, as well as Social (Ballroom) Dance lessons and Bollywood classes by arrangement, for individuals and groups

  • Inclusion of people with disabilities in all programming, including individuals who use wheelchairs.

  • Annual school-wide Danceathon - a relaxed "un-recital" for all students who wish to participate, held at a local theatre.

  • Smaller "Cameo Concerts" that provide additional opportunities for students and staff to present their work.

  • Choreography opportunities for children and adults (including Saturday Workshop, Kids Dance Club, Teen Dance Crew, and Dance Inventions).

  • Master classes, workshops, and professional performances by guest artists.

  • The CMDE Senior and Junior Repertory Companies, which provide advanced training and performance opportunities for dedicated young dancers ages 7-21, including presentations on professional stages with full technical capacity.

  • After-school and in-school classes for youth at risk, as part of the Moving Into Knowledge (MIK) program.

  • Free Summer Stars and Summer Moves day camps for children and teens, as part of MIK program.

  • Free Family Dance Classes for children and adults who come and take class together as a family, also part of the MIK program.

  • The Moving Experience Program for children, teens, and adults with disabilities, which offers both special and integrated classes and activities.

  • The Moving Experience Dance Company for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities.

  • The Open Door Dance Program, which is a collaboration with other artists and organizations with the goal breaking down attitudinal barriers.

  • Outreach Programs offered throughout the year bring recreational dance classes to senior centers, community centers, and other non-traditional locations.

  • The Real Men Dance Program for men and boys only, the Elder Dance program for older dancers, professional development, and special community choreography projects are offered periodically.

  • Low-cost rehearsal space for performing artists.
