Lillian Pitkin Schenck Fund
CMDE
is pleased to announce that the Lillian Pitkin Schenck Fund has renewed its support
of CMDE this year. The grant will be used to support programming for
children with disabilities and youth at-risk.
Free Family Classes
Check out CMDE's Family Class in
African Dance on weekends! The class is free and open to
any adult(s) and child(ren) or teen(s) who come together and dance as a
family - however you define your family! Sundays
4:00-5:00 p.m. in Hackensack.
High School or College Students Get College Credit!
CMDE is continuing to partner with
Bergen Community College. High school or college students enrolled in
the College-Wide Dual Enrollment Program (CWDE) at Bergen Community
College can receive credits for certain dance classes taken at CMDE.

Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Renews Support
CMDE is pleased to announce that the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation
has once again renewed its support of CMDE with a grant of $10,000 for
fiscal year 2010-2011. CMDE will use the Dodge Foundation grant to
support accessible and affordable programming in the coming year.
New Jersey State Council on the Arts Continues Funding with Citation of Excellence.
Last year, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (NJSCA) renewed
its General Operating Support of CMDE for three years. This funding is
used to support all aspects of CMDE's programming. CMDE's FY11 award
was once again accompanied by a prestigious "Citation of Excellence"
from the Council. Citations are awarded to organizations, programs, or
projects that "exhibit the highest standards of excellence in artistry,
operations, governance, public benefit and fulfillment of areas of
Council priority."

is awarded $25,000 grant from the NEA
This grant is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and funds arts
projects and activities which preserve jobs in the non-profit arts sector
threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current
economic downturn.
